HCS SB 174 -- CONVEYANCE IN COLE COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Vogel (Bruns)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Corrections and Public Institutions by a vote of 9 to 0.

This substitute authorizes the Governor to convey state property
located in Cole County to the Cole County Regional West Fire
District.

The substitute contains an emergency clause.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2006, FY 2007, and
FY 2008.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will transfer land that
is currently owned by a prison to the Cole County Regional West
Fire District since there is no fire house in western Cole
County.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Bruns.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
